Residents invited to weigh in on Montgomery County services in 2026 survey
The survey is open to residents 18 and older through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 19.
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich announced Tuesday the launch of the county’s 2026 online resident survey, giving residents an opportunity to share what they think about local government services and quality of life in their communities.
The survey is open to residents 18 and older through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 19.
Residents can weigh in on topics including the quality of life in their neighborhoods, county services, use of public amenities and facilities, participation in county programs and their experiences with county employees.
The survey also asks residents about the effectiveness of county communications and outreach, household practices such as recycling, and overall community livability.
“Listening to our residents is key to delivering the services they need and expect,” Elrich said, adding “This survey gives people across the county an opportunity to share their experiences and tell us what is working, where we can improve and what matters most to them.”
The county mailed survey invitations to 6,000 randomly selected households to ensure a representative sample, with instructions available in English, Spanish, Chinese, French, Korean, Vietnamese, Persian (Farsi) and Amharic.
All county residents are encouraged to participate online, regardless of whether they received a mailed invitation.
County officials said the survey results help improve customer service, promote transparency and inform budget and policy decisions. The feedback also helps the county evaluate how effectively and efficiently it delivers government services.
The county’s most recent Community Survey was conducted in 2024, and its results are available online.
